After 15 years at two national defense firms, Buckley King & Bluso and Roetzel & Andress, Ric Cardenas joined Deacon' Harwood in 2013 before forming Deacon Cardenas & Ruple, the predecessor to Cardenas Ruple & Kurt. With more than 20 years experience assisting businesses and individuals with their legal needs, Ric's practice is focused on business litigation, transportation law, product liability, and insurance-related issues. He has represented Fortune 100 companies and small business entitites federal/state litigation throughout Ohio as well as Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. Ric has undertaken a multitude of bench and jury trials as well as hundreds of mediations/arbitrations. His experience enables him to assist clients quickly and efficiently in developing a correct litigation strategy whether it be seeking an early resolution for economic reasons or taking a case to trial.
Ric has spent his entire life in Northeast Ohio and comes from a long line of Hispanic community leaders. Since 1997, he has been active in the Ohio Hispanic Bar Association; currently serving as a Trustee. Since moving his practice to Lake County, Ric has also served as an adjunct professor at Lakeland Community College teaching a variety of legal and litigation courses.
